Contract Drafting & Review
We draft and review contracts in Japanese and English for domestic and cross-border transactions. We explain the key terms and negotiation points in clear, practical language.

Contracts We Advise On
We advise on non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), sale and purchase agreements, service agreements, agency and distribution agreements, and licence agreements, in both Japanese and English.
How We Can Help
Alongside drafting and revising your contract, we explain material risks and points to clarify with the other party. We can also discuss practical options where amendments are difficult to negotiate.
Our Approach to Contract Review
We start by understanding the purpose of the transaction, then prioritise the changes that matter most. We explain the reasons for our recommendations and discuss alternatives if the other party is reluctant to agree.
Fees & Getting Started
Your initial consultation is free. Our hourly rate for instructed work is JPY 22,000, including consumption tax. We provide a fee estimate before starting, based on the length and complexity of the contract and your preferred deadline.
Please tell us the type of contract, a brief outline of the transaction and your preferred timeframe.
Contracts Involving Foreign Law
Where foreign-law research or advice from local counsel is needed, we will discuss the scope of work and fees separately.
